this year placements at icfai r likely to be very poor due to
inflation
us recession
stock market crash
high oil prices

its learnt that icici bank ,icfai major recruiter and highest paying also wont come to campus this year
also due to stock market crash indiabulls and various brokerages wont come..

god knows what willl happen to studnets this year Sad

dont you worry, economy needs mba's and there is a major shortage of management talent...

so 2 yrs down the line all of u will be doing good, dont worry about short term roadblocks.

also i think with ibsrocks platform, a lot of alumni's are here - so they can help by posting thier job openings on our job section www.ibsrocks.com/jobs Twisted Evil

but then icici is like the most crucial of all recruiters. they take students in the biggest bunch too. plus i have heard from college ppl that this time even seniors too shall be sitting with our batch, then how to compete??

n wat ll happen to our batch who r not placed??
its too tensed a situation......

could neone guide where to start preparing from???

Don't worry about the US recession as its here to stay. Especially if Obama wins his economic thoughts are closer to the way an Indian politician thinks rather than being a capitalist.

To get yourself a good job talk to people, cold call companies and see if they need an MBA. Attend interviews to get a feel of how things work.

Take the subjects which are technically demanding and will help you get a job/ perform to the expected levels.

Look at entrepreneurship as a possible options Wink
