Hi
I am Anupam Maheshwari, haiving 4.5 years of experience in BPO segment. I am selected for 1 year executive PG prog and I desperately want to get into Investment Banking. I have spoken to couple of guys about it but I am still confused about the placements cause' the current scenario is still not clear. The very fact of whooping fee of approx 9 lacs is haunting me and I am thinking about ROI. I have couple of queries:-
1) Are placements of exec PG based on the last CTC or take home salary?
2) In acse I want to switch for investment banking, How can I specialise in hardcore finance subjects like derivatives, project management etc till Sept or Oct when likes of JPMorgan Chase, UBS come for placement for full time course student.
I have already sent the DD, there is no turning back but still please clarify my doubts.
Thanks & Regards

| Yes the EMBA program in IBS is equally good as in IBS or great lakes, but as it has been introduced newly many are not aware of the same. Moreover the course structure is same as that of ICFAI, Dehradun,So it is recommended to undergo both the courses simultaneously to obtain a degree as well as a diploma.

Dear Sir,
Reading the posts here, I somehow feel out of place. Anyways, I stand nothing to lose in giving it a try .
I am a Post graduate in English from Panjab University. Right after studies, I joined Genpact and have worked there for 6 months as a technical support. I left GE and came to Dell Mohali, and have been working here ever since. My cumulative work ex thus comes to around 2.5 years.
Though I always wanted to continue my studies (literature et al), I have now decided to settle down in the corporate sector for a lifelong career. Though I have learnt much, my job profile still sounds light, even frivolous... I would thus like to back myself with a solid foundation, and gain the necessary skills to survive in this industry.
I am seriously interested in your 1 year executive program, and would like to know I could be eligible for it. I have not really kept in touch with my studies, but back myself in English and Math-the two subjects for MBA Entrances.
I plan to enroll myself for IBSAT this December. Please advice on my chances, and how I can best prepare for it in this short period.
I appreciate your attention.
Regards
Sam
