Hi Akar,
Results are out check them here http://www.ibsindia.org/ibsat/result07.asp
once u get shortlisted ull be sent a kit containing ur interview call letter. this kit will also have list of topics for the verbal presentation.
u can choose any one topic from it and come prepared on the assigned interview date.NO OHP/PPT is allowed... its a purely VERBAL PRESENTATION THIS TIME.ill suggest keep it to max 5 mins.....the topics will be wide and easy, u can choose any topic u feel comfortable with.time allocated would be 5 mins and 2 mins for questions/answers.
Micro Presentation Topics List - Choose ANY ONE from these topics for your presentation
post the Presentation you would be called for the panel interview - we had panels of 3 members but can vary.Post interview u would have to wait few hours(or return to hotel and come back) ...by evening ull be given ur results with the Campus allocation !!! u can also put in written request for Campus Transfer right away if required
Some Tips :
Presentation:-First you need to prepare verbal presentation from among any one of the different topics which will be parceled to you in a Selection Kit within 2 weeks.
1) On the basis of your topic you have to make a presentation not lasting for maximum of 10min.
2) There is no preference given to a student for choosing any particular topic.
3) There would be 7-8 students would be present in a room with an invigilator.
4) The invigilator would be awarding you marks on the basis of following skills:-
a) Confidence
b) Command over subject.
c) Ability to answer the questions, which in case would be asked by the fellow students present in the meeting.
d) Questioning Skills
e) Time management.
Interview:-
The Interview would happen right after the Presentations with a time gap of generally 3 hrs. You would be basically asked questions on the following parameters:-
1) Your Educational Background.
2) Your hobbies.
3) CURRENT AFFAIRS like what is happening in India, world, CM of various states etc.
4) Detailed questions on Work ex if you have mention the same.
5) Why IBS ?
6) Your Aptitude.
If you want to make it to IBS, then the only two things you need to have
1) Confidence.
2) Knowledge.
best of luck again

Dear Sir
How important is the interview call DATE . I mean is it true that people with higher score and better ranking get interview call earlier . Or there is nothing of that sort. I am asking as I have the last date for interview (ie 18th Feb)
and yes tell us more about how the interview questions will be. I have work ex of 2 years so will my question be more in the line of my job or it can be from anywhere. Do they ask questions on ur graduation subject

This is to confirm that interview dates have no co-relation to scores etc. its just a random allocation based on statistical equations
Also once u get an interview call - ur chances of conversion are as good as any1 else. trust me i had a scholarship holder with me, he got Pune campus while i got Hyderabad
if u have 2 yrs of work ex - make sure u are clear on how that work ex was a value addition - how it imprpved ur managerial skills and personality. also know the basics data of ur industry very well. this however doesnt mean u can forget academics...thy will grill u on academics and GK as well + ur work experience
even i had 4 yrs of work ex and thy grilled me badly

Thanks
But still to clear my doubts ..........Say there are 900/1000 seats in ICFAI Hyderabad .........and as the result is declared in the same day ...so dont u think its a disadvantage for someone who date is later .......there is possibility that all seats of hyd gurgaon and mumbai can be filled in the first 10 days of interview ...if they find candidates to be good ........and then even if someone tries his best ....he wont be able to make it to hyderabad/mum/gurgaon............
Secondly I read that u made it to hyd........ but ur profile suggest u r studying in gurgaon ...any particular reason ...............u can avoid this question if it is turnin out to be personal
I shuld thank u for such a wonderful forum
Cheers

like i said seats are allocated for every day of the interview. if u r good enough for a particular centre - u have equal chances wether it be on 1st day or last day.
yeah i changed my centre to gurgaon for some personal reasons and im happy tht i did so
