IBSAT 2007 - ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test for Admission to MBA and Executive MBA Programs in 2008 session
The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University, Dehradun, Uttaranchal is a UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized University that represents the multi-state network of universities, sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India in Uttaranchal, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Mizoram under respective legislations. The University confers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees to eligible students subject to the University Regulations.
IBSAT 2007 - The Test
IBSAT® 2007, the Common Aptitude Test for the Programs of Icfai Business School (IBS) namely the 2-year MBA Program at all campuses and the 1-year Executive PG Program at Hyderabad.
IBSAT® : IBSAT® is based on GMAT® format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
IBSAT 2007 - IMPORTANT DATES
Last date for receipt of completed Application Form is November 20, 2007 .

IBSAT ® 2007 Test Date :
December 16, 2007 (Sunday) : 9.30 am – 12.00 noon
Reporting Time : 8.30 am at Test Centers
Dispatch of Interview call letters : January 03, 2008
Interviews & Admission Decision : February 4-18, 2008
Commencement of Classes:
MBA Program:
* Preparatory Classes: April 15, 2008
* Regular Classes: June 02, 2008
Executive PG Program:
* Regular Classes: May 01, 2008
Eligibility for IBSAT 2007
For MBA Program (2008-10)
A bachelor’s degree from any discipline, with 50% and above aggregate marks.
For Executive PG Program (2008-09)
A bachelor’s degree from any discipline, with 50% and above aggregate marks with 3 years or more of executive level work experience after graduation. Age should be more than 25 years as on April 01, 2008 .
Students in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations/viva/assignments before April 30, 2008. Such applicants will have to produce a certificate to that effect at the time of admission. For any extension of this deadline, the applicants should apply separately, giving the schedule of their graduation examination. Extension may be granted on the basis of the circumstances of the case. The admission of applicants will, however, remain provisional until they produce marksheets and a degree certificate establishing their eligibility. The last date for submitting the proof of graduation transcripts is October 01, 2008, failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises of IBSAT® and interviews. Applicants are required to appear and qualify the IBSAT® 2007. Alternatively, GMAT® scores are also accepted by IBS. The GMAT® code number of IBS is 7061. The applicants short-listed on the basis of their performance in the IBSAT® 2007/GMAT® score are called for the interviews. The students shortlisted for interviews will be supplied with a copy of the prospectus and the application material.
Last Date for Application
The last date for receipt of completed OMR Application Form is November 20, 2007.
All applicants are advised to adhere to the last date prescribed for the submission of the application form so that necessary arrangements can be made for conducting IBSAT® 2007. Please submit the Application Form as early as possible to improve the chances of getting the test center of your choice.
The filled in OMR Application Form should be sent to the Admissions Officer, through speed post or courier, at the following address.

Online Registration
Applicants interested in registering for the IBSAT® 2007 can fill up the online Registration Form available at www.ibsindia.org/ibsat and make payment of Rs.1,000 towards cost of IBSAT® 2007 Bulletin, using credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Citibank Card) through secure internet payment gateway and the Bulletin will be sent to them.
Applicants registering online should attach their scanned color photograph along with the online application.

Alternatively, applicants may download the Application Form, complete it and send it to The Admissions Officer, IBS HQ Admissions Department, 13/17, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta, Hyderabad - 500082 along with demand draft for Rs.1,000 towards cost of IBSAT® 2007 Bulletin, (demand draft should be drawn in favor of "Icfai Common Fund A/c IBSAT 2007" payable at Hyderabad) and the same will be sent to them.

Test Pattern
IBSAT is based on GMAT format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
IBSAT is usually of very easy level, with timed sections.
