Its a Tribute to Late Mrinal Anand, our alumni from batch 2002 who met with an accident while on his way to a similar tournament he helped organising on 25th Nov 2002.

Concept
An annually held and professionally managed cricket league, within the IBS fraternity. 8 teams from each batch pitted against each other in a knockout 8 over’s a side league format.

Format
8 teams from each batch, 8 player’s a side, 8 over’s a side knockout
Day 1 – Knockout, Day 2 – Quarter/Semi‘s and Finals

Prizes Worth Rs 10,000 !!!

the smarter will win , not necessarily the better

this is coz of some of the unique rules of the league !

take for example 35 mins rule...its wise to shorten ur run up , save time rather than giving runs to opposition through penalties !

also the league by nature is more batsman orinted fast track game...so plan it accordingly

keep in mind fielding restrictions too ! first two overs should be a run making machine

As you must be aware the Prelims of Rocker's League 2007 was held on 25th Nov as per schedule.

It was a historic day @ IBS . Junior batches gave stiff competition to the seniors though the seniors proved thier mettle and experience ! For those who missed the action , See snapshots of the event by clicking on the link at the top of the page at www.IbsRocks.com !

It was History in making ! the Grand Finale day of the Rockers League 2007.

Royal Stags and BraveHearts fought it out in the finals and hold your breath , ROYAL STAGS WON THE LEAGUE Cool

while Bravehaerts won the hearts of the audience along with Runner up prize and Most Rocking team Trophy

With this they win the cash prizes as well as get to keep the Rocker's League Trophy and passover to the winners next year !

Bravehearts won the Most Rocking Team award for thier exemplehary behavior and passion during the event.

Congrats evry1 , the Man of Matches will be declared by Wednesday evening.

It was a truly appreciable initiative taken by IBSROCKS, specially by our seniors like Abhishek Shah Sir, Sourav Mahajan Sir, Varun Aagarwall Sir and many others without whom making such an event wouldn't have been possible.

The concept of 8 overs with field restrictions was really exciting. All the matches were competitive and played with the true sporting spirit and we enjoyed each and every moment during the process of the whole tournament.

So after all, IBSROCKS are the real winner and so heartiest thanks to all of you for showing us an opportunithy to prove ourselves. Hence, we juniors are really proud of you and we will try our best to carry forward your efforts in the coming years.

And we also want to thank IBS CHD for travelling so far to join us during the league and for giving us so much excitement.
