See lemme share my personal experiences with you so far in the companies that i have sat. I did sit for Axis Bank, Precision, Aspire and Deutsche Bank. For Axis Bank i cleared the Written test ( apti) however the surprise was instead of a GD, they suddenly started doin a debate...could not bank upon that...soo couldnot clear.....the topic of the debate was " Cricket is given the most successful game status commercialy".....

Than came Precision techconet....cleared the GD ...the topic was " whether shortlisting is required for recruitment".....went to the final round of interviews,.....in Interview they asked me what job role would u like to have...i said....Functional consultant....however in the results it was cleared that for marketing guys they only offered the sales position....however they didnot made it clear...so hard luck again......

In Aspire Systems, it was a Hara Kiri......they organized 9 rounds in total....1st was Apti...followed by a GD...n a Written Assignment....than next day on their campus...they organised 3 rounds of interviews...2 technical n 1 HR...than on the next day they had a surprise ready 4 us....they put the last 8 of us...from 3 colleges....into different groups...gave us a realtime case study including one mentor from there sales team, where we needed to discuss 1st for an hour and brainstorm on the topic....where the mentor evaluated...than 2 rounds of presentations infront of the technical head and the sales head...soo 9 rounds in total...finally on the 3rd day evening out of 8 students they shortlisted 4... and said that they will let us know...i remember the HR saying that there are 6-7 positions to offer...however results was a bit of a shock becoz they took only 1 guy...again hard luck ....

2nd GD topic in Aspire: Global warming : plz do something immediately.........

In deutsche Bank again went to the final round after clearing GD n PI rounds, where there was a roleplay...i was asked to sell a sharpner...to b honest it didnt went well from the begining only....sooo again hard luck....

The Reason of sharing with all of u all of these is to let u understand 2 things....first is u never know on what criteria corporates are actually picking u or not....second and the most important thing is actually however good u try, there always is a better ' JOB FIT' for the Corporates...that doesnt means u underperformed...as in MBA level no one underperformes to a gr88 extent...its just that they got someone better fit for the role which they came from......abs4u always

Some corrections

IIP index of Aug. was 1.3 % not 1.8, and the figure of 4.8 was of the month of september...........economists are forcasting negative growth in the month of oct. Fluctuation in IIP index is not because of world financial crisis, but due to credit crunch ....

But our economy is in good shape, hope we all will get good jobs.
