Hi folks,
This is Nivedita from Chennai. My interview was on the 13th of Feb. I opted for the Chennai campus and I got it.
I'm a final year B.E. student and I'm looking forward to making friends here at IBS Chennai.
Can argho or someone tell me about the cultural atmosphere at IBS Chennai?

the cultural atmosphere of ibs chennai is quite good
guys and girls from all part of india are here so u will will be having a rocking time here.......
in our batch of 2009 most people are from koklata, delhi, noida, orissa ,bhopal bangalore and many parts...
as far as cultural atmosphere is there this year we students organized akriti and chiara which is our cultural events and many management fest like collesium and all are done inside the college and also at state level where all other people from differnt colleges also take part....... we have a rocking time during akriti and chiara.........

glad to hear from u, my name is aravind and i have been selected for chennai campus 2008-10 batch
i read an article in economic times (11th march) about placement statistics in IBS chennai, and i was glad that so many companies participated and niceoffers were made. but can you give me some more clarification about the prospects for placement for people without any job experience, how good are the positions being offered and avg salary package for the same .

ya our placemnt corrdinator has made a very good job by giving this article in ET. this shows that our ibs is reaching to the top......
see all people are there in our campus with work exp and without workexp. the people with good communication skilss and those are confident are swiftly taken by the company on the first day when comapny come. the guys who got selected for DE SHAW are having no work exp but one guy was doing ms finance side by side.... so it was a addid advantage to him in cracking the interview as DE SHAW gave analysts posts...... now its turn of marketing guys( thats is me who r in marketing) ICIC bank and all the good bankis gave the relationship officer post and a grade 2 level just below the regional manager post so its was good....... many IT firmsb also came and visited the campus, like satyam was the big recruter.... 3i infotecth, heware tecnologies and wipro, TCS, and many more........ all these IT firm gave e marketing and analysts posts......... guys who r intereted in retail were placed in retails firms like spencers daily, pantaloons, intimate fashions etc.... so u will have a rocking time here........
our batch is also seeing a very good summer placemnt
