Would like to add that while making presentations be really confident....
Try to make the audience understand what you are saying...that is a really good way if you get an attentive audience....
I often get distracted when the audience is sleeping ....but then even that has a way out.....just tell one of your classmates to keep nodding like an active listener ...
another important thing is to address evryone in the class and not a few people
in case of technical faults...like power failure or LCD not working.....just keep the audience engaged......(tell them how you collected the data..what problems you faced)....
Use simple words....dont mug up what you have to speak....
I got the opportunity of being in a class with really good presenters, during the first 2 semesters....helped me learn a great deal from them ....writing all this by remembering each one of them making a presentation ....
In the end practise....try to give as many presentations as possible....even if you are hesitant in the begining.... remember you have joined icfai to learn.....your class has to bear with whatever you speak .....so just enjoy...and improve each time

Folks!
Read my story if you are really worried about delivering presentations. Let me share it for the greater common benefit.
I got educated in a small town in TN till my graduation. Never got an opportunity or necessity to speak in English. Started speaking English with lot of hesitation during my CAT preparations.
Believe me when I entered the corporate life I used to speak with as many mistakes as I can. Thanks to a leadership program, I always kept it in my mind that English is a language & any language is to communicate. As long as the other person is getting your point, you are through with your job. I did my work satisfactorily for 3 years where my role involves communicating with people who are at the General manager level too.
After joining IBSG my grammar and accent were still a problem. That never stopped me from standing in front of the croud and present. Surprisingly my presentations were well received.
If I think about the reason, they are very simple:
1. Know the subject
2. Talk Naturally
3. Believe that you are naturally good. That gives you confidence.
4. Talk in front of the mirror with proper body language
5. Do get feedback after your presentation
6. A presentation is not just a talk show, innovate!

Anna i seriously do not believe this!!....and no1 will; who has heard you speak before an audience!!
I always looked forward to your presentations in the first year....you were...and still are the "Benchmark" for me ...
Everyone reading Krishnan's story must understand that confidence and Spontaneity backed with practice is the key for a successful presentation....
If you feel that you are not a good speaker practice...infront of the mirror...with your friends....and you will surely improve....
As the chiche goes : "Impossible is Nothing"

hallo everyone.
some of the tips i would like to add too.
1.whenever you are showing a slide to audience, they tend to read all the points and then go to sleep.this should be avoided.
you should read all the content in the slide and then explain it one by one.believe me IT WORKS.
2.NOW never show ur back to the audience. It always has a bad impression.WE tend to read it from the slide, which is also giving a bad impression. But the problem is that as slides are made at the "LAST TIME UNDER PRESSURE" , nobody actually cares to remember the content.
So what u do is that u keep a hard copy in front of u and read from it.Or u can use ur laptop but some amount of skill is required for this thing.Always maintain the eye contact to audience and keep smiling. This has to be done while reading the copy for ur refference.
SO you hav to read it in a snap and also be ready to explain.Do not show u r back to the audience.Be most careful in this thing.
so hav a nice presentation guys.
THESE tips have saved me so many times.
HOPE THAT THEY WILL DO IT FOR YOU TOO.

thnks

1). Make your own ppt templates. Do not stick to templates available in powerpoint. they are boring and also everyone uses it. In case you have any prob making a template, choose office help and search for master slide.
2). try to set standard for your own PPT. Repeating same style of ppts over and over again might not for you but at least for your class.
3). Be spontaneous but have a clear idea of what to say. Many students mug up the presentation stuff and its soo clearly evident when they speak.
4). Dare to try something different: My best presentation was without ppt. We decided to explain marketing strategy of Airtel by showing 13 videos (airtel advertisment).
