Since the time i joined IBS Gurgaon i have just helplessly observed how badly they capitalise on the huge MBA hype and lack of seats in top institutes.
Later i realised there was no harm in it - atleast people get a chance to start their career.
Nowadays i have been analysing how IBS plans its future. One thing i can say certainly - they do not have high aims for future. They do not capitalise on the enourmous alumni strength to strengthn IBS brand. Alumni are ignored to a certain extent.
Instead of being brand ambassodors , IBS produces mostly corporates who would never like to be associated with IBS in future.
I can say this because i have personally invited 500+ alumni to ibsrocks and believe me their joy knew no limits - they were so happy some1 was tryng to do something for the overall brand.
IBS would branch out more and more untill its present in almost all villages one day , whats say could beat HLL anyday
But the question is what is its future? Will we feel proud to call ourselves from IBS 5 yrs down the line?
I am not one of those to crib about the wrongs - i have proved that im part of the solution and not just a critic. But still this question has haunted me since the time i joined IBS and am sure its on mind of many of my batchmates too.
Long live the brand IBS ! - hope we all can network and build relations with our alumni and juniors - do what the admin should have done through the IBSAF(alumni federation) .
Their lack of vision should not be an excuse for our lack of action

Hello sir,
I think this ibsrocks.com is a step towards creating IBS as a brand...what i see is huge potential!if we can capitalize on the students and alumni base we can even have clubs in each and every city where there is an IBS center!! just like the B-schools have in the US.What say sir

My humble viewpoint:
If IBSROCKS is a solution, then two things that are really necessary at this stage of the initiative
1. Community feeling among all the campuses
2. More participation by the members
Two action points for achieving this
1. Inform & encourage your friends to join hands in this community
2. Keep posting & post meaningfully

Hi all,
Gettin the alumni onboard is not very difficult task i guess, bt keeping them there n askin them to look at the IBS students as the first priority wen they need manpower is one. Leave the alumni, even our batch mates don't feel like associating the IBS name with themselves, I think this attitude needs some change, and there would always b people who crib about anythng and evrythng, we cant do much about them, instead if the 10% or so population that is there at each centre which likes IBS can try to transform the scenario, I know its easier said than done.
