Hi
Anybody who wants to read about Indian Business Tycoons, please go through the book written by GITA PIRAMAL - "BUSINESS MAHARAJAS". I think thats a must read for all those who wants to be entrepreneur.
Rightly said, a new venture requires more realistic thoughts and working rather than just doing it for the sake of it. There are many such unsuccessful entrepreneurs in our IBS. I am not trying to put down anyone's idea of starting his own business but I am just trying to put a word of Caution.
I apologize if anyone got hurt with that comment of mine. Its written in good faith. It is always nice to know who has succeeded and how, but its also important to know who has failed and why? This will help you not to repeat the same mistakes.
To me, one VIRTUE which has foremost contribution till date in my venture is PROCRASTINATION - a habit to delay. Not my work or my business process but to delay "the decision to QUIT". Next day may come up with some new opportunity, so if you have started something with full zeal and you believe in it then dont quit even if the whole world is against.
Thats all I can say.
May GOD bless all of you with all the success in your life.
(No intention to create any controversies or heated arguments. My sincere apologies if anybody has got offended.)

Becoming Entrepreneur not only gives you scope of working independently. You are no longer working for others rather you are working for yourself and your contribution helps in developing country economy. I am saying so because becoming an Entrepreneur you not only have scope of earning more from the business but also it generates employments for people of the country.
A good starting place is to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. Carefully consider each of the following questions.
Are you a selfstarter?
It will be up to you - not someone else telling you to develop projects, organize your time and follow through on details.
How well do you get along with different personalities?
Business owners need to develop working relationships with a variety of people including customers, vendors, staff, bankers and professionals such as lawyers, accountants or consultants.
Can you deal with a demanding client, an unreliable vendor or cranky staff person in the best interest of your business?
How good are you at making decisions?
Small business owners are required to make decisions constantly, often quickly, under pressure, and independently.
Do you have the physical and emotional stamina to run a business?
Business ownership can be challenging, fun and exciting. But it's also a lot of work.
Can you face 12 hour work days six or seven days a week?
How well do you plan and organize?
Research indicates that many business failures could have been avoided through better planning. Good organization of financials, inventory, schedules, production can help avoid many pitfalls.
Is your drive strong enough to maintain your motivation?
Running a business can wear you down. Some business owners feel burned out by having to carry all the responsibility on their shoulders. Strong motivation can make the business succeed and will help you survive slowdowns as well as periods of burnout.
How will the business affect your family?
The first few years of business startup can be hard on family life. The strain of an unsupportive spouse may be hard to balance against the demands of starting a business. There also may be financial difficulties until the business becomes profitable, which could take months or years. You may have to adjust to a lower standard of living or put family assets at risk.
