“BLITZKRIEG” the annual fest of ICFAI - Popular among all the B-schools, a 3 day event which brings participation from the best corporate houses, institutes and student from across the nation to interact with each other and prove their managerial skills and competitive competence.
IBS-Gurgaon has strength of 1100 students. Invitations were sent out to 125 B-schools institutes last year and IBS was greeted with an overwhelming response. Some of the major Institutes that participated last year were FMS, Delhi; MDI, Gurgaon; IMT Ghaziabad; IBS-Kolkata; IBS – Mumbai etc. The amazing hospitality by IBS-Gurgaon and the rocking events ensures us a bigger turn-around this year. JAL, the famous music band from Pakistan will perform this year. Once again the champion quizmaster Derek O’ Brien would host the most awaited Business quiz of North India – ZEPHYR. Once again IBS G as a plethora of events scheduled to take place.


MAJOR EVENTS IN BLITZ 2007:-

ZEPHYR
Crack the questions at the earliest possible, as we challenge you on a BIZ Quiz. Mr. Derek O’ Brien will be the quiz master for this fiery challenge, first ever of its kind organized by any B–school in Delhi and NCR region for the third consecutive time has proved to be the most challenging BIZ Quiz. The electrifying quiz questions and enthusiastic teams raring to take on the challenge in the event provides for an intense battle of wits, strategy and reflex. The audience too has a lot to gain – with gifts from various ZEPHYR sponsors.
The event was covered by many prominent business houses and media companies. This year the icing on the cake is the cash prize of Rs 30,000 for the winners, lined up with Rs 15,000 and Rs.5, 000 for the second and third runners up respectively.
As an idea to gain mutual advantage, we, the team of IBS-Gurgaon, are looking forward to a positive response from your side. We also invite you to participate in this grand observance.



FASHIMITE
FASHIMITE, ICFAI - GURAGON fashion show, where fad is eliminated and sultans of trend set the stage for a preview of right looks complemented with the right attitude. Fashion year 2007 will witness, the all desired, hard hit combination of beauty, brawn and brains.
FASHIMITE as a canvas of dynamism, splendor, creativity and beauty, is all set to be one of the most anticipated inter-collegiate fashion shows around.

BUISNESS BAZIGAAR
Date-14th, 15th December
Who said selling was all boring? It can be challenging we agree, but the challenge and the fun associated with it is far more fulfilling. This event tests the acumen of the budding managers in launching a new product in the market giving them a feel of the entire procedure starting with the conceiving the idea, developing the product, coming out with the marketing mix and plan, launching it and finally selling it in the real world.
It will make a champ out of you calling for utilization of both your creativity and intelligence.

BATTLE OF THE HONCHOS
Date - 14th December
Are we there yet? Do we have it in us to make the destiny of the organization we are working with? A serious combination of wit, presence of mind, grit and convincing skills!!!
Winning requires snit just strategy but also research and wisdom.
This event asks for some serious thinking and debating skills combined with knowledge of the international scenario. It’s a clash of the titans. A Battle of the Stalwarts. Here each team represents one particular country. They have an important contract to win and it goes to the person who is able to convince the panel of judges sitting about the validity of their argument and as to why they think they are the best one deserving.
Teams will be assigned their respective countries beforehand in order to familiarize themselves with the situation prevalent in the foreign trade, environmental and political scenario vis-a-vis other countries.


BRAND MAHARAJAS
Date - 14th and 15th December
An exciting game which takes you to the tour of various rounds of Taglines, General Awareness, company profiles and loads of exciting info packed sessions.
The Quiz starts with the elimination round and takes you all the way to a rollercoaster ride of semi finals and the finals where the best brains of the top B-Schools will be fighting for the top slot.

NUMERO UNO
Date -14th and 15th December
A grueling session of 48 hours to test all aspects of managerial skills starting from managing, organizing, planning to selling. To put one under stress and get the best out of it.


YATRA
Date - 14th and 15th December
Represent a particular state and develop a tourism promotion campaign for the state. They say Everything Sells!

ALAAP
Date-14th , 15th December

Participants have to develop a new business idea that may be in the field of hotel & catering, store retailing, personal services, business & communication services, etc.

SAMPURNA NIVESHAK
Date - 15th December
Show your analytical and smart investing techniques and gain maximum profits in this stock game. Virtual trading will test your team’s financial and strategic intelligence.

EQUIPE VERSADO
Date - 14th December
To be the “Equipe Versado” the teams have to win the race which will be perforated with various obstacles all along the way. The team which successfully completes all the obstacles and reaches the end line the fastest will be the winner.

LAN GAMING
Date - 16th December
No speed limit, no control check, let the accelerators go free. An opportunity to for gamins masters to show their passion towards the gaming world.

DJ MIXING
Date - 16th December
Show us what’s in you that makes you the match the like of DJ Tiesto or DJ Aqeel in mixing latest songs using virtual DJ software and talent.



LE BALLO
Date- 15th and 16th December
They say dance is the best form of expression. Giving words to your emotions “le ballo” is a two day group dance event where each team with its creation and innovation will try to outperform each other.

ABHINAY
Date - 14th December
Giving way to a new breed of actors ABHINAY is a platform where colleges all across India will be coming to participate. They will be trying their best to prove that for being a manager not only they have to be innovative, creative and using out of the box ideas but also how they can play with their expressions to win over this world. The event will be judged on parameters like
Enactment of theme, use of the stage, co-ordination among the team, expressions and costumes.

GOONJ
Date-16th December
“You have made people listen, you have made people care, and you have taught us that whether we are poor or prosperous, we have only one world to share. The world is more malleable than you and it's waiting for you to hammer it into shape." There is nothing better than music as a means for uplifting the soul. ‘Goonj’ is the band competition testing for the best synchronization and grooving musical abilities.

BIG FIGHT
Date - 15th and 16th December
Get your facts and figures right because one incorrect figure can pin you down. A debate competition where one is required to deploy all one’s oratory skills to prove one’s mettle.
